my garage door wouldn’t open unless I held the button down, and it turned out the spring was broken. It was a bit beyond my DIY skills, so I called a repair service.
They did an awesome job and didn’t charge an arm and a leg. They mentioned that sometimes a garage door opener replacement is necessary if the opener itself is worn out. In my case, just fixing the spring and realigning the sensors did the trick.
