Rasa chatbot with rest channel

Has anyone implemented rasa bot with custom UI via rest channel? While researching for the development I got these links,

basically both of them is not working for me, giving errors, can someone please help?

My requirement is rasa chatbot with rest channel should have its own customized UI, so how to integrate my bbot with rest channel to a custom UI
