Hi everyone! My name is Emily Cook, and Iām joining the Developer Relations team at Rasa as a Developer Community Manager!
A little about me, I was a developer for 5 years at USAA, then I was a Sr Developer Advocate at GitLab for 2.5 years, and I just finished up a year at Mattermost as the Open Source Community Manager. Before all of that though, I got my start in development by contributing to open source projects while I was in college, so Iām very familiar with what itās like to belong to a developer community. Iām very excited to help make sure your time in the Rasa community is as good of an experience as it can possibly be!
Iām sure youāll see more of me around the forum in the near future, but please feel free to reach out to me at any time for any reason at e.cook@rasa.com! My (virtual) door is always open
@emilycook Welcome to the family Emily!
Welcome to the community, @emilycook!

Hi there, Iām Joanna from Montreal, senior business/tech analyst at National Bank of Canada. Iām part of a team that integrates and manages Chatbots in our company. We use a platform built on top of the Rasa framework. Iām continuously looking for ways to improve the management of our chatbots performance and quality and while I have a non technical background, I love to develop my technical skills whenever I have the opportunity.
Looking forward to discussing some good chatbot management practices with the community
Hello everyone! My name is Yaroslav and I am from Russia. I have more than 10 years of experience in VOIP service and I have my own virtual PBX project. Weāve developed a module for the Asterisk VOIP platform and a server that allows communication with the Rasa chatbot in voice calls. Our server uses a Yandex speech kit (STT and TTS, grpc protocol). Also could use other STT and TTS services that support WebSocket or grpc protocol.
We are looking for possible cooperation in connecting Asterisk and Rasa. Using chatbots in voice calls.

Hi Rasa Community! Nice to meet you all. My name is Tomasz, Iāve been working as a chatbot designer for about 5 years now. Iāve spent last 3 years building chatbots using RASA based interface. Are there any other freeks who tried to create a GUI for RASA? Would you like to share your thoughts? I know I would

Hello everybody,
Iām Theo, from the UK. Iāve been building chatbots since 2006 for banks, telcos, energy companies, car manufacturers, education, retail, etc. I love mountains, hikes, Python, Rasa, Spacy, Kubernetes and making listsā¦
I mostly care about:
- abstracting data and build process so itās easier for content/flow editors.
- removing technical barriers from the build process so design and experience are the focus.
- being honest, pragmatic and realistic with clients about what chatbots can do.
- the āmagicā when a chatbot projects starts coming together and everything works and I can sleep at night.
I love Rasa because:
- it uses Python (did I say I love Python?)
- itās flexible (I can make my own custom policies, components, importers, etc). I have way more control than I would do with some other platforms. I honestly donāt know how I would realistically implement what clients want without this sort of flexibility.
- itās opensource yay!
Our setup:
- Rasa Core with custom dialogue manager policy, custom tracker, and a fair few custom components
- Kubernetes for dev/prod environments
- Cloud Build/Cloud Functions for training and automated deployment
- Firestore for storing trackers and chat usage data
- Cloud Functions for weekly/monthly reporting
- Cloud Storage and Google Drive for managing files, models, etc
- Cloud Scheduler and Pub/Sub to schedule tasks (reporting, health checks, deleting old pods, etc)
Weāve started a company doing this and weāre hoping to secure clients soon! Iāll post up a link to our chatbot once the current round of updates are complete.
Nice to meet you all!
Hi guys! Iām glad to be here and I hope everything goes like clear water!
