How do I "return an ActionExecutionRejected event as part of your custom validations or slot mappings"

Hi,

As per the documentation I would like to fire an ActionExecutionRejected event as part of my custom slot validation code.(see here: Forms)

Can somebody point me to an example of how I do this? I can’t see how you can return anything apart from slot values using custom slot validation.
