Basic understanding needed before beginning

The RASA email is intriguing, and hands-on is my way of learning – " It’s time to build your first assistant! Let’s start by creating a Money Transfer Assistant . [This step-by-step tutorial]"

However, before beginning, some basic understanding is essential. I’ve not found this information on the website, maybe just don’t know where to look.

  1. Can a conversational ChatBot be built in CALM using my current knowledge base documents developed for the Monica platform?
  2. Will the ChatBot work on my website (such as by embedding code)?
  3. What are the costs involved, please?

When I know a Bot built here can meet my requirements, will be glad to go through the tutorial.

UPDATE: Clicked the tutorial link in the RASA email, got this:

Hi @EmanatePresence

Apologies about the email link, we linked our beta docs there! Here is the tutorial page link, you can go through the tutorial locally or get a quick-start in a GitHub codespace. Here is the tutorial for the codespace setup.

  1. I don’t know the Monica platform myself, but if you are interested in learning how to build a Rasa bot with CALM, check out our CALM learning and certification pathway.
  2. It can work on your website, and recently we actually introduced an open source chat widget that you can use for free.
  3. The costs depend on your conversation volume. The good news is that if you want to build a smaller bot (up to 1000 conversations a month for external use cases) you can use our Rasa pro developer edition license completely for free in production.

Let us know how you find the tutorial, and welcome to the forum!
