Proactively Reaching Out to the User with External Events does it work with google assistant connector?

Hello,

Proactively Reaching Out to the User with External Events with trigger end point, does it work with google connector? I checked with telegram it’s working fine. In case of google not getting message on google assistant.

Hi @sachin! As you have noticed, the channel will determine if you can proactively reach out to a user. I don’t think that Google Assistant allows you to speak to a user unless that user first initiates a conversation

Thanks for response @tyd. Sorry, above description is not enough in my opinion. I get your point the channel will determine if you can proactively reach out to a user. Let me explain my problem with more details. I am talking to my rasa bot via google assitant, by following tutorial https://blog.rasa.com/going-beyond-hey-google-building-a-rasa-powered-google-assistant/. In my scenario I want to send user progress of some task whenever user asks to do it. I want to send multiple responses to user about progress about it. With telegram implementation it works totally fine. But with google assistance it doesn’t work. I don’t know whether current implementation of google_assistant connector supports it or not, it not I wanted to know is there any way?

@sachin I looked at the code in the tutorial and was not able to quickly tell. Maybe it would help if you compare it to the code for the Telegram connector? Curious to know if you figure out the answer
