# Passing Metadata to Custom Action

Okay I figured it out! So I followed [this solution](http://forum.rasa.com/t/how-to-pass-metadata-in-post-request-and-then-extract-it/15092/6) and then added the --connector argument to the curl so now it looks like

rasa run --enable-api --connector “rest\_test.RestInputOK”

and i’m getting the metadata to my action server woohooo! Hope this helps anyone who is having a similar issue 🙂
