# Installing rasa. Visual C++ build tools

I am trying to install rasa. I cloned the code from git hub and I have followed the instructions on [Installation](https://rasa.com/docs/rasa/user-guide/installation/?_ga=2.188280360.1487324018.1584693089-1955020452.1584693089#building-from-source). When I run poetry install I get the following error: Microsoft Visual C++ 14.0 is required. Get it with “Microsoft Visual C++ Build Tools”: [http://landinghub.visualstudio.com/visual-cpp-build-tools](http://landinghub.visualstudio.com/visual-cpp-build-tools). I have version 15.9 of the build tools installed, do I specifically need version 14. or is there something else I am doing wrong.
